Wigan Faith Network members are currently working on two initiatives within the Wigan North and Wigan South Township areas.

Chaplaincy services

Representatives have been meeting with staff of Wigan and Leigh College (Wigan Campus) to discuss the provision of a chaplaincy service to support staff and students. Parent support

The Wigan Faith Network has had meetings with Joy Wright of “Care for the Family”, a charity that provides support services for families and Verla Shaw from the new Westfield Sure Start Centre, Montrose Avenue, Wigan. The Faith Network believes that there is an urgent need to encourage many more parents to access support services. Parish and Church Halls and rooms would be available to any new group who is looking for somewhere to meet. Contact Andrew at the CEP team for more information. (01942) 686234.
